On July 13th, the three-day labtech China Congress came to a successful conclusion.
labtech China Congress is a spin-off of analytica China, the leading exhibition of laboratory planning, construction and management in the Asia-Pacific region. It is committed to the development of lab planning, construction, management and services, especially the harmonious relationship between people and laboratories and the iterative innovation and change of future-oriented laboratories. labtech China Congress 2023, in collaboration with analytica China, was held simultaneously and in the same location, bringing together 1,273 exhibitors and nearly 100 well-known domestic and foreign enterprises and brands to showcase numerous innovative technologies and products in the laboratory design, construction and management exhibition area, laboratory safety exhibition area, and on-site simulation laboratory Live Lab. In total, it attracted 56,864 professional representatives from the laboratory field to participate in the grand event.

labtech China Congress 2023 consisted of two exhibition areas, the Laboratory Planning, Construction and Management Area and the Laboratory Safety Area. High-quality conference discussed the new trend of the future laboratory in 2050
As a high-quality summit on laboratory construction, The 2nd Future Medical Laboratory Construction and Development Innovation Summit addressed the trends in the lab construction industry under the theme “lab upgrading and transformation for the future”. Experts from important partners, e.g. Shanghai Shenkang Health Care Service Center, Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center, Zhejiang University, Shandong University, Nickelodeon & Partners Architectural Design, Jiangsu Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Chinese Society of Microbiology, Tongji University, and Nanjing University, discussed the current status and future development of medical laboratories, especially the integrated construction of laboratory systems, the application of new materials and new technologies, and the operation and maintenance management. The summit contributed to laboratory operation efficiency and construction quality, the construction of laboratories in medical and health institutions, and medical testing advances that can effectively ensure medical quality and medical safety.
As a workshop of intensive training sessions, the High-level Forum on Laboratory Management focused on the theme of "the road to lab safety, intelligence, and sustainable development". The workshop invited experts and representatives from Shanghai Clinical Laboratory Center, Shanghai 5G+ Smart Medical Innovation Laboratory, Shanghai Inspection Testing and Certification Association, Shanghai Changhai Hospital, Shanghai Laboratory Equipment Association, Shanghai Zephirustek Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., SGS Medical Device Laboratory, the Product Line/Central Material Laboratory of CTI Industrial Material Testing, Liangjian Intelligent Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Fenyan Biochemical Technology Co., Ltd. . It focused on the safety and health of laboratory workers and the current situation and trend of smart laboratories, and addressed relevant issues from the aspects of artificial intelligence and testing, intelligent development of medical device laboratories and safety management of laboratories.

Live Labs created immersive lab space of the future
As a long-term partner of Live Lab, WALDNER (Shanghai) joined hands with the Eco-Research Institute of KOHY Laboratory and built a Live Lab that exhibits the concepts of green laboratory design and certification. Another old partner of analytica China and labtech China Congress, Beijing Dynaflow Experimental Technology Co., Ltd. built a Live Lab with the theme “Sustainable Lab 2050”. The two Live Labs presented new lab instruments, equipment and consumables, lab furniture and construction, and through scenario-based demonstrations, hands-on operations and lectures, showcased important issues such as scientific and efficient management models, modern laboratory designing and intelligent information management concepts. The displaying of the design, construction and operation process of a future-oriented intelligent laboratory brings users a new immersive experience.

Chao Wei, who is Research Fellow of National Insititute of Metrology/Chemical Metrology and Analysis Science Division considered, lab safety and construction is one of my focuses in labtech China Congress, because our lab is being upgraded, and I am responsible for lab safety. The exhibition is very large, and there are many special exhibition areas that can provide very good support to lab upgrades, including safety devices. The exhibition has played an important supporting role for the entire laboratory industry.
Lab Manager of Shanghai Laiyifen Co., Ltd. Wei Zhang presented, as a food manufacturer, we attach great importance to food safety. As laboratories develop, more automatic equipment have emerged. labtech China Congress has made great efforts to promote such technology. Compared to the past, I can see that Chinese brands have developed enormously. labtech China Congress is also very big, with many competitive manufacturers from China and abroad. I hope that it can maintain such scale in its next session, because it will be more convenient for the users to screen the exhibitors and find solutions to their different needs. The exhibition has given us a new concept in our development strategy. We hope to see more Chinese equipment in 2024, and we really look forward to new breakthroughs and progress in the application of chromatographic mass spectrometry and flexible robots.
