From March 25-27, the three-day Vision China 2026 (Shanghai) came to a successful close today at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Organized by Machine Vision Industry Union of ZGC(CMVU) and hosted by Messe Muenchen (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., the exhibition brought together a distinguished assembly of industry-leading companies and professionals from across the machine vision sector. Together, they explored the integrated innovations in machine vision technology, driving factories into the next phase of digital transformation.
Vision China 2026 (Shanghai), held concurrently with productronica Shanghai, attracted a total of 86,450 professional visitors and injected strong momentum into the industry's development.
Mr. Pan Jin, Chairman of Machine Vision Industry Union of ZGC(CMVU), commented: “At this year’s Vision China, we witnessed the latest breakthroughs emerging from the deep integration of vision technology and artificial intelligence. The innovative ‘VISION+AI+Robotics’ Exhibition Zone was particularly noteworthy, showcasing the synergistic power and immense potential of these technologies in real-world applications. This integration is not only a highlight of this exhibition—it will become a core driver of the continued evolution of Vision China.”
Mr. Jan Rohde, Chief Financial Officer and Deputy General Manager of Messe München Shanghai Co., Ltd., added: “Gathering here in 2026, we are not only showcasing the latest technological advancements but are also actively engaged in shaping the future of automation, deep AI integration, and intelligent manufacturing. This exhibition provides a platform for visionary companies, technical experts, and industry leaders to exchange ideas and collaborate, collectively advancing the sustainable development of this dynamic field.”
A Comprehensive Showcase of Cutting-Edge Technologies
The exhibition floor featured an impressive lineup of renowned domestic and international companies. Exhibitors included Rsee, MindVision, Dingyuanfeng, Regem Marr, Imaging Source, SENPUM, Teledyne, Wordop, RZ-Image, BoPixel, SmartMore, KCS, Jin Gong, Cognex, Xinsuan, BRIGATES, Canrill, SinceVision, and V-Light (listed in no particular order). The breadth of innovations on display spanned high-precision industrial cameras, intelligent sensors, 3D smart vision equipment, advanced AI vision algorithms, integrated robot vision solutions, industrial vision software systems and turnkey automation platforms. Together, these technologies demonstrated the transformative potential of machine vision technology across a wide range of sectors—including semiconductors, 3C electronics, automation, robotics, automotive engineering, new energy, smart logistics, healthcare, security monitoring, and transportation. The result was a diverse array of solutions empowering the digital and intelligent upgrade of the entire industrial production process.
The special exhibition zone brought together five pioneering companies -Vizum, Mairui, Mech-Mind, Percipio, and Alson - each showcasing its distinctive strengths in a dynamic and spirited display. Guided by the concept of embodied intelligence, these innovators presented core technologies and a diverse array of application cases where machine vision powers cutting-edge fields such as visual navigation, flexible grasping, intelligent inspection, and human-robot collaboration. Embodied intelligence transforms devices from mechanical units performing fixed tasks into intelligent agents capable of deep environmental interaction—perceiving, understanding, and making smarter, more flexible decisions. At the heart of this evolution, machine vision is the essential perceptual core.
The zone’s immersive demonstrations and hands-on experiences captivated the visitors, who noted that these integrated solutions break down the boundaries of single‑technology applications, making the path to factory digitalization both clear and tangible. For enterprises, these innovations bring new opportunities for technological advancement and business expansion.
Summit Dialogue: Insights into Digital Intelligence
Running concurrently with the exhibition, the two-day Machine Vision Technology & Application Conference brought together renowned experts, scholars, business leaders, and technology pioneers in a vibrant atmosphere filled with insightful discussions.
Participants agreed that the deep integration of machine vision and artificial intelligence is the central engine behind factory digitalization. Machine vision technology equips intelligent equipment with “perceptive eyes,” while AI provides the “decision-making brain.” Together, they not only significantly elevate the levels of automation and intelligence in industrial production but also propel production from “automation” toward “autonomy”—delivering cost reduction, efficiency gains, and quality breakthroughs. The conference not only provided a high-quality platform for learning and exchange among industry professionals but also charted a clear direction for the future development and expanded application of integrated machine vision and AI technologies.
